Richard Poe is the Co-Founder and CEO of AirGlide AI, a maritime technology company focused on advancing vessel efficiency and reducing emissions through innovative air lubrication systems. The son of an engineer with the spirit of an entrepreneur, Poe has spent more than three decades building companies, investing in emerging technologies, and leading large-scale development projects across multiple industries.
Over the course of his career, he has participated in more than $1 billion in commercial, residential, hospitality, and master-planned community developments, including international projects and investments throughout Asia. His experience spans engineering, real estate development, biotechnology facilities, hospitality ventures, and technology startups, giving him a unique ability to bridge innovation, operations, and execution.
Prior to co-founding AirGlide AI, Poe served as Chairman of Poe & Associates Engineering, helping lead the growth of a multidisciplinary engineering organization. He has also been an active investor in disruptive technologies and has contributed to multiple patents focused on improving efficiency, sustainability, and performance across various industries.
At AirGlide AI, Poe combines his background in engineering, development, and entrepreneurship to drive solutions that help the global shipping industry reduce fuel consumption, lower emissions, and accelerate the transition toward more sustainable maritime operations.
